Medway Group Medway Group
Hi, I am based in the Medway Towns and would like to start a group for other people perhaps in this area too, who need someone to chat too, Sometimes chatting to others can help. We can talk on line or if you would like perhaps we can arrange to meet somewhere for a coffee\tea, say in Rochester (the catherdral has some lovely gardens where one can sit and chat and you don't need to be religious to go there or elsewhere). I lost my father nearly 3 years ago to bowel cancer, my mother got breast cancer 4 years ago (she is in remission) and my partner is terminally ill with bowel cancer. The group is open to people with cancer, their careers, friends, family, everyone is welcome that is affected by cancer in their lives. Not sure where to list this as have never set up a group, so I have selected general cancer types. Jane

Mesothelioma Mesothelioma
Although you can find tags for the above I thought it would be far easier to set up a group. That way everyone can share and learn from experiences. The tags get me confused. My dad has terminal cancer - mesothelioma. What works and what doesnt is something that can be shared but we must always remember each person is different and therefore what works for one doesnt necessary work for another.

This is an open group for carers and relatives who want to understand more about end stage, and what is likely to happen, and how to prepare for it. Please be advised that it will deal with this very difficult subject, including experiences of those who have already coped with caring for someone they love on this final stage.

I am 60 years old. Just diagnosed with Myeloma beginning of May. Look at my profile for more info. My husband and I were keen walkers/caravanners and I considered myself fit for my age. The speed of my treatment has been amazing and I'm hoping to get through this with a happy ending. I'd like to hear how other people got on with their treatment
